About PeptidLotse & our editorial principles
PeptidLotse is an independent, non-commercial knowledge and education resource about peptides. The goal is a sober, honest classification — precisely because the topic is dominated online by marketing and gray-market offers.
Editorial principles
Source-based, not forum lore
Wherever possible, every statement rests on primary sources — scientific literature (PubMed), trial registries (ClinicalTrials.gov) and authorities (EMA, FDA, WADA, BfArM). Forums, social media and product pages are not evidence.
Status first, no marketing
The regulatory status (approved, prescription-only, investigational, not approved) is deliberately front and centre. We advertise nothing, name no sources of supply and use no promotional language.
Deliberately no usage content
This site gives no dosing, no reconstitution or injection instructions and no dose calculator. Such decisions belong in a doctor’s hands — we explain why on a dedicated page.
Honest about uncertainty
We separate evidence from hypothesis: preclinical is not the same as human efficacy, and a positive study result is no safety seal. We name open questions as such.
How we research
- Selection: We prefer current reviews, approval-relevant studies and regulatory documents over single case reports.
- Verification: Cited sources are checked for existence and topical fit before inclusion (e.g. PubMed entries via the official NCBI interface). Unverifiable references are not included.
- Updating: Regulatory developments (e.g. new EMA/FDA assessments, recalls, warnings) are incorporated as soon as they are documented by authorities.
- Corrections: If an error becomes known, we correct it and flag substantive content changes.
Independence & conflicts of interest
PeptidLotse sells no products, runs no shop and contains no affiliate or partner links to peptide vendors. There are no financial ties to manufacturers or dealers of the substances described. Should the funding change in the future (e.g. through donations or clearly labelled, non-conflicting collaborations), this will be disclosed transparently here.
Important note
This content is for information and education only. It is not medical advice and does not replace a conversation with a physician. Several substances described are prescription-only or not approved for human use.
